Durability and diversity with new Ridi diffuser design

Broadening its offering of architectural luminaires for the education sector, RIDI Lighting has launched the LF-T16 – a universal modern diffuser luminaire, corrosion resistant and with a choice of optics.

An IP rated T5 light fitting, available for both suspended and surface mounting, it features a clear diffuser with an integrated parabolic louvre for high efficiency and good glare control. A modern opal version is also available to create slimline linear forms. Both LF-T16 versions are perfectly suited to the learning environment, where durability is vital and the quality of lighting has to match a variety of teaching requirements.

Crucially, the luminaire housing is a sealed unit, vapour and water proof, which allows its specification across all areas of the school – from classrooms to kitchens and laboratories. In terms of its output, one LF body can accommodate both single and twin T5 lamp configurations. A balanced light distribution is achieved through good sideways and downward control. For ease of maintenance, a toolless polycarbonate diffuser is part of the seamless design.

A simple design with a modern style, the LF-T16 is both cost effective and ecologically sound, making it ideal for new school buildings or education refurbishment projects, where there is a need to aim for a BREEAM School rating of ‘very good’.
